Description

Agarose LE – Molecular Biology Grade from iNtRON Biotechnology is a high-purity agarose powder designed for routine analytical and preparative nucleic acid gel electrophoresis.

The agarose forms clear, mechanically stable gels for separation and analysis of DNA fragments. It is suitable for resolving DNA fragments ranging from approximately 500 bp to 23 kb, depending on the agarose concentration, electrophoresis buffer, running conditions and DNA conformation.

Agarose LE has low electroendosmosis characteristics, supporting efficient electrophoretic migration and reducing counterflow that can contribute to distorted or poorly resolved DNA bands. Its high transparency and low staining background facilitate visualisation and documentation of nucleic acid fragments after electrophoresis.

The product is suitable for preparing gels with commonly used electrophoresis buffers such as TAE and TBE. Gel concentration can be adjusted according to the size of the DNA fragments being analysed: lower agarose concentrations provide improved separation of larger fragments, while higher concentrations provide better resolution of smaller fragments.

DNase and RNase activity are reported as not detected, supporting use in molecular biology applications where nucleic acid integrity is important.
