Description
ExcelRT™ Reverse Transcription Kit is a complete and flexible system for synthesising high-quality first-strand cDNA from total RNA or messenger RNA. It contains recombinant M-MLV reverse transcriptase with reduced RNase H activity and improved thermal stability.
The enzyme synthesises cDNA up to approximately 8 kb at 37–50°C. Oligo(dT)₂₀ and random hexamers are supplied separately, allowing either primer type—or a combination—to be selected according to the RNA template and downstream application.

Compatibility: Oligo(dT)₂₀ is suitable for polyadenylated eukaryotic mRNA and applications requiring greater 3′-end coverage. Random hexamers are suitable for total RNA, degraded RNA, prokaryotic RNA and non-polyadenylated RNA. The two primer types may be combined for gene-expression workflows.
