Description
ExcelTaq™ Blood Direct DNA Polymerase enables direct PCR amplification from whole blood without requiring prior DNA purification. The enzyme is highly tolerant of common blood-derived PCR inhibitors, including haemoglobin, IgG and lactoferrin.
The polymerase is compatible with blood collected using citrate, EDTA or heparin anticoagulants. The kit includes 5X Blood Direct Buffer and CCR5 positive-control primers suitable for primate blood samples.

Note: Mix the reaction thoroughly before PCR. Following amplification, centrifuge the reaction at 1,000 × g for 1–3 minutes and load only the clear supernatant for gel-electrophoresis analysis. Reaction conditions may require optimisation for different blood samples and primer sets.
