01 Description, applications & specifications
Description
Exgene™ Viral DNA/RNA is a spin-column viral nucleic acid extraction kit designed for fast and efficient purification of total viral DNA and RNA from a wide range of biological samples, including cell-free fluids, cell-culture supernatants, plasma, serum, swabs, urine and virus-infected samples.
The kit uses advanced silica-binding technology together with a Micro Column Type S and carrier RNA to support efficient recovery of viral nucleic acids, including from samples containing low concentrations of target nucleic acid. Proteinase K and optimized buffer chemistry provide efficient viral lysis and reliable purification without phenol/chloroform extraction or alcohol precipitation.
Purified viral DNA and RNA can be used directly in PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, real-time PCR and other downstream molecular biology applications without additional purification.
Key Features: Viral DNA and RNA purification • Advanced silica-binding technology • Micro spin-column format • Carrier RNA included • Suitable for low-concentration samples • Proteinase K-assisted viral lysis • High yield and purity • No phenol/chloroform extraction • No alcohol precipitation • Rapid workflow
Sample Types: Cell-Free Fluids • Cell-Culture Supernatants • Plasma • Serum • Swabs • Urine • Virus-Infected Samples
Applications: PCR • qPCR • RT-PCR • Real-Time PCR • Viral/Pathogen Molecular Analysis • Other downstream molecular biology applications
