01 Description, applications & specifications
Description
FluoroStain™ DNA Fluorescent Staining Dye is a highly sensitive 10,000X dye designed primarily for post-staining double-stranded DNA in agarose and compatible polyacrylamide gels.
The dye detects approximately 0.04 ng of DNA and produces green-yellow fluorescence under blue-light excitation. It is also compatible with UV illumination and generally requires no destaining.
Key Features: 10,000X concentrated formulation • Approximately 0.04 ng DNA sensitivity • High specificity for double-stranded DNA • Recommended for post-staining • Blue-light and UV compatible • Minimal background fluorescence • Destaining generally unnecessary • Ames-tested for non-mutagenicity • Five 500 µL vials
Applications: DNA Post-Staining • Agarose Gel Electrophoresis • Native DNA PAGE Staining • PCR Product Analysis • Restriction Digest Analysis • DNA Fragment Visualisation • Gel Extraction and Cloning Workflows
Compatibility: Recommended for post-staining dsDNA in agarose gels using TAE, TBE or TE buffer. It may also be used for post-staining double-stranded DNA in polyacrylamide gels. It is not intended for RNA or single-stranded DNA staining.
Packaging: Five 500 µL vials, providing a total volume of 2.5 mL.
Manufacturer: SMOBIO Technology
