i-genomic™ BYF DNA Extraction Mini Kit is a specialised spin-column genomic DNA extraction kit from iNtRON Biotechnology designed for efficient purification of genomic DNA from difficult-to-lyse biological samples including Gram-positive bacteria, yeast and fungi.

The kit incorporates sample-specific pre-lysis and lysis systems to improve disruption of organisms with strong or complex cell walls. Dedicated pre-lysis buffers are provided for yeast and other BYF specimens, followed by silica spin-column purification to obtain high-quality genomic DNA.

The kit includes RNase A, Proteinase K and Lysozyme and provides optimised protocols for different BYF specimens. For yeast samples, additional lyticase or zymolase may be used where required to enhance cell-wall disruption and DNA recovery.
