MEGAquick-spin™ Plus Total Fragment DNA Purification Kit from iNtRON Biotechnology is a multifunctional silica-membrane spin-column system for purification of PCR products, extraction of DNA fragments from agarose gels and cleanup of DNA following enzymatic reactions.

The kit can purify DNA fragments ranging from approximately 65 bp to 20 kb from standard or low-melting-point agarose gels prepared in TAE or TBE buffer. It can also be used to purify PCR amplification products directly from reaction mixtures and to remove primers, primer dimers, nucleotides, enzymes, salts and other reaction components.

The multifunctional membrane can bind up to approximately 45 µg of DNA. The streamlined spin-column workflow can be completed in approximately 20 minutes, depending on the sample type and number of samples being processed.

Typical DNA recovery is approximately 90–95% for PCR cleanup and approximately 70–85% for agarose gel extraction. Purified DNA can be used directly in downstream molecular biology applications without additional precipitation or desalting.

The supplied BNL Buffer Plus contains a colour indicator that helps users monitor the pH of the dissolved agarose sample. Maintaining the correct pH supports efficient binding of DNA to the purification membrane.
