Description
Murashige & Skoog Medium, van der Salm Modification with Vitamins is a powdered plant tissue culture medium containing macroelements, microelements and vitamins. Its mineral formulation follows the van der Salm modification developed in 1994.
The formulation uses FeEDDHA as the iron source and includes glycine, myo-inositol, nicotinic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride and thiamine hydrochloride. It is suitable for preparing defined media for plant cell, tissue and organ culture.
Key Features: Van der Salm modification • Based on Murashige and Skoog medium • Includes macroelements • Includes microelements • Includes vitamins • FeEDDHA iron source • Powdered formulation • Available for preparing 10 L or 50 L of medium
Applications: Plant Tissue Culture • Micropropagation • Callus Culture • Plant Cell Culture • Shoot Culture • Organ Culture • In Vitro Plant Research • Plant Biotechnology
Compatibility: This formulation supplies the listed mineral salts and vitamins. A carbon source, gelling agent and plant growth regulators should be added separately when required by the plant species, explant and culture protocol.
Preparation: Dissolve the required quantity in purified water and make up to the intended final volume. Add sucrose, plant growth regulators or gelling agents as required, adjust the pH according to the selected protocol and sterilise using an appropriate validated method.
Packaging: Available as powder sufficient to prepare 10 L or 50 L of finished medium.
Manufacturer: Duchefa Biochemie
