Description
Patho Gene-spin™ DNA/RNA Extraction Kit is a spin-column nucleic acid purification kit designed for rapid isolation of DNA and RNA from a wide range of pathogenic samples containing viruses or bacteria.
The kit uses an optimized lysis system containing a low concentration of chaotropic salt to efficiently lyse samples and inactivate DNases and RNases. DNA and RNA are subsequently purified using silica-gel membrane spin-column technology, without phenol extraction or ethanol precipitation.
Purified nucleic acids are suitable for downstream molecular applications including pathogen detection, PCR, RT-PCR, quantitative PCR, cDNA synthesis and infectious disease research.
