Description

Q-PAGE™ Bis-Tris Precast Gel – Midi, 12 Wells, 12%, 10 Gels is a ready-to-use polyacrylamide gel system from SMOBIO Technology for high-resolution protein separation by Bis-Tris SDS-PAGE.

The optimized formulation provides clear, sharp bands, high resolution and extended storage stability compared with manually prepared Laemmli Tris-HCl gels. Its ready-to-use format eliminates gel casting and improves consistency between electrophoresis runs.

The fixed 12% polyacrylamide concentration provides a uniform resolving matrix particularly suitable for routine separation of small- to medium-sized proteins. MES-SDS buffer is generally preferred for smaller proteins and faster migration, while MOPS-SDS provides improved separation of medium-sized proteins.

Each 10 × 10 cm Midi cassette contains an 8.1 × 8.1 × 0.1 cm gel with 12 numbered and framed wells. Maximum recommended loading capacity is 40 µL per well, supporting applications requiring increased sample volumes or protein quantities.

Key Features: Ready-to-use Bis-Tris precast gels • Fixed 12% polyacrylamide • Suitable for small- to medium-sized proteins • Clear, sharp bands • High resolution • 12 numbered wells • 40 µL maximum capacity per well • Compatible with MOPS-SDS and MES-SDS buffers • Suitable for protein staining and Western blotting • Stable for ambient-temperature transportation

Applications: Bis-Tris SDS-PAGE • Protein separation • Molecular-weight estimation • Protein-purity assessment • Recombinant protein analysis • Protein-expression studies • Gel staining • Western blot sample separation • Proteomics research

Recommended Running Buffers: Use MES-SDS for smaller proteins and faster migration or MOPS-SDS for medium-sized proteins. SMOBIO SMOChem™ 1X MOPS-SDS Running Buffer Powder, Cat. No. BF2000, is compatible with this gel.

Compatible Systems: Invitrogen® Mini Gel Tank • Invitrogen® XCell SureLock® Mini-Cell • Hoefer SE260 • Other systems accepting 10 × 10 cm Midi cassettes

Pack Contents: 10 Q-PAGE™ Bis-Tris Midi precast gels • Product-description tip card • Gel remover • Cassette opener

Storage: Store flat at 4°C for up to 12 months. Do not freeze. Keep gels in their original packaging until required.

Handling: Remove the sealing tape and comb before electrophoresis. Rinse and fill the wells with compatible running buffer before loading prepared samples and a protein marker.

Important: Do not use Tris-Glycine running buffer with Q-PAGE™ Bis-Tris gels. Incompatible buffer can cause abnormal migration and poor resolution.

Classification: Research Use Only (RUO). Not intended for diagnostic or clinical use.
