Description

Q-PAGE™ TGN Precast Gel – Midi, 12 Wells, 10%, 10 Gels is a ready-to-use polyacrylamide gel system from SMOBIO Technology for protein separation by SDS-PAGE using the conventional Tris-Glycine buffer system.

The proprietary TGN, or Tris-Glycine Novel, formulation provides rapid electrophoresis, clear protein-band separation and extended storage stability compared with conventional manually prepared Laemmli Tris-HCl gels. Protein migration patterns remain comparable to traditional Tris-Glycine gels, supporting straightforward integration into established SDS-PAGE workflows.

The gel contains a fixed 10% polyacrylamide concentration suitable for routine separation of proteins across a moderate molecular-weight range. The uniform matrix provides consistent pore size throughout the resolving gel and is useful when the proteins of interest fall within a relatively defined size range.

The Midi cassette measures 10 × 10 cm and contains a gel measuring 8.1 × 8.1 × 0.1 cm. Each gel contains 12 numbered and framed wells with a maximum recommended loading capacity of 40 µL per well. This larger well capacity is useful for applications requiring higher sample volumes or protein quantities.

Q-PAGE™ TGN Midi gels are suitable for compatible Invitrogen® Mini Gel Tank and XCell SureLock® Mini-Cell systems, Hoefer SE260 systems and other electrophoresis tanks accepting the same Midi cassette dimensions.

The optimized TGN formulation supports rapid electrophoresis. Under suitable conditions, protein separation may be achieved in approximately 19 minutes at 300 V. The manufacturer recommends initially trying 200 V and optimizing the voltage and running time according to the sample and desired resolution.

Key Features: Ready-to-use precast polyacrylamide gels • Fixed 10% gel concentration • 12 numbered and framed wells • 40 µL maximum capacity per well • Conventional Tris-Glycine-SDS buffer compatibility • Rapid electrophoresis • Clear and reproducible protein bands • Migration comparable to traditional Laemmli gels • Compatible with commonly used Midi electrophoresis systems • Suitable for protein staining and Western blotting • Stable for ambient-temperature transportation

Applications: SDS-PAGE • Routine Protein Separation • Protein Molecular-Weight Analysis • Protein-Purity Assessment • Recombinant Protein Analysis • Protein Expression Studies • Higher-Volume Sample Loading • Gel Staining • Western Blot Sample Separation • General Proteomics Research

Recommended Running Buffer: Use fresh 1X Tris-Glycine-SDS running buffer. SMOBIO SMOChem™ 1X Tris-Glycine-SDS Running Buffer Powder, Cat. No. BF4000, is compatible with this gel.

Compatible Electrophoresis Systems: Invitrogen® Mini Gel Tank • Invitrogen® XCell SureLock® Mini-Cell • Hoefer SE260 • Other systems compatible with 10 × 10 cm Midi gel cassettes

Pack Contents: 10 Q-PAGE™ TGN Midi precast gels • Product-description tip card • Gel remover • Cassette opener

Storage: Store the gels flat at 4°C for up to 12 months. Do not freeze. Keep the gels in their original packaging until required for use.

Handling: Remove the cassette sealing tape and comb before electrophoresis. Rinse the wells with running buffer, fill them with running buffer and then load the prepared samples and protein marker.

Research Use: Research Use Only (RUO). Not intended for diagnostic or clinical use.
